WHY IS DRINKING THE PUREST WATER IMPORTANT?
Our bodies are comprised of 70-80% water and our consumption of water is meant to hydrate and remove chemical impurities from our bodies. It is not supposed to introduce impurities or chemicals.
One of our goals is to educate consumers on the chemicals contained in other bottled water products and municipal water supplies and to inform consumers that these chemicals are never in Pure Rain Bottled Rain Water. Once the chemical contaminant information is shared and provided, consumers can make the most educated choice for which water product best fits their family’s needs.
The following list are common contaminants found in tap and some other bottled waters. NEVER found in Pure Rain!

| NITRATES/NITRITES |
Used in fertilizer and found in human and animal waste, these are especially harmful to infants. These unhealthy chemicals have been found in other bottled drinking waters and in municipal tap water. |
| FLUORINE |
Fluoride that is added to tap water is not pharmaceutical grade and is a waste byproduct of the fertilizer industry. Multiple health effects have been attributed to fluoride such as low thyroid function, bone cancer in children, decreased cognitive function, and dental fluorosis. |
| SULFATES |
Iron-sulfate is used in tap water treatment processes to reduce microbial contaminants that come from lakes and streams which are sources for the municipal water supply. Sulfates survive the processing and remain in the tap water. The health effects of sulfates are diarrhea and other gastrointestinal illnesses. |
| DICHLOROMETHANE |
Widely used as a paint stripper and degreaser, this chemical has been found in other bottled drinking waters and municipal tap water. Dichloromethane creates carbon monoxide in the body that can lead to CO poisoning. |
| TRICHLOROMETHANE CHLOROFORM |
Chloroform is a byproduct of the reaction of chlorine with microbial contaminants such as bacteria, leaves, fungus, molds, and animal residues that come from lakes and streams. The health effects of Chloroform are birth defects, cancer, headaches. |
| LEAD |
Lead is found in residential plumbing materials and can be leached into tap water. Health effects of lead include brain damage, reproductive and kidney damage. |
| URANIUM |
Uranium is found in rock formations and in mining areas. The health effects of ingesting uranium are cancer, leukemia and kidney damage. |
